These angles are to hold the forward inner side skins in place but have misaligned at multiple locations. In the past I worked around them but now since the need to be removed anyhow I redesigned them.

Replace CF-ANG-025 left side
While working on the CF side skins, a while ago, I found out that I had some alignment issues with the side angles, after further investigation with Sling Aircraft the conclusion was that both parts need to be replaced. Good news because this will hopefully solve the alignment issues, but also bad news because the rivets near the joining location will be difficult to remove.

Joggled doublers for CF stringers
Due to the winter cold I didn’t work on the plane in the recent 2 months. Since this week it’s around 10 degrees so some work could be done.
There are 3 stringers on each side of the CF that have a flange with a 2.4 mm step and limited edge distance, this joint didn’t feel very strong so I strengthened it with joggled doublers.

Improved gussets
The edge distance of the gussets is just 1.5 mm, not a lot and for sure not the minimum of 2 times the diameter that is used as a general rule. I experimented a bit with enlarging them.

Install left slider
