Arch skin fixes

The arch skin is a tight fit and fitted nicely, however some fixes were needed for a better result.

A small amount of this flange was removed because it conflicted with the stringer (both sides):

On the right and left side there was a 2 mm space between these 2 flanges:

Biggest problem was however on the top, holes didn’t align and 2 flanges conflicted:

And this rivet blocked rib 2 to move backwards enough so that the holes of the skin aligned:

When I knew this before the fix was super easy, but now since all those pieces are rivetted in place it’s a bit more work. With snips, files and sandpaper I removed some material and reprimed:

This hard transition can cause a dent in the skin so I filed it flush and reprimed on both the left and right side:

To fix the 2 mm space on the left and right stringer I designed 2 brackets:

And for strengthening the top I designed a third bracket. Here a photo of the 3 brackets after CAM:

With some 3M 2216 the brackets were glued in place:

For making the alignment of the arc skin a bit easier I glued the flanges to the middle top skin:
