Access to the baggage compartment for painting is now better, without the top skin, than later with the skin installed. So it’s time to paint to paint it.
First step is masking, not only the remainder of the plane but also the workshop since the plane doesn’t fit in the paint booth:
Next is shooting epoxy primer so the rivets heads have primer as well:
And finally the dark grey, the photos are just after the paint was applied, later when it’s dry it will turn into a matt finish:
