Rivet siderails / missing flute

After the impossible rivet issue was resolved it was time to rivet the side-rails.

It was not so easy to rivet from below because access for the rivet-gun was limited.

Especially the 2 most rear rivets were difficult to rivet, but with the help of the close quarter rivet gun is was doable:

Also the close quarter rivet pulling wedge was helpful:

Left side done, except for the joining area which needs some attention:

The right side was impossible to get all holes aligned, after some investigation it was clear why; the angle didn’t had the correct curve because one flute was missing:

I didn’t notice the missing flute when preparing and riveting the angle in place, hopefully there is a way to create the flute with the angle in place to prevent removing quite some rivets.
Normal fluting pliers won’t work because the aluminium is too thick and the other flutes are much wider.
It’s a bummer, to be continued…
