It took a bit longer due to the lockdown in South Africa but I’m happy to receive my replacement rib 11 for the right wing.
While preparing the part for priming I found that a part of the flange of a lightening hole was missing:
TAF responded and wanted to ship a new rib which is great service!
However I wanted to see if I can fix it myself. On the internet I learned about the “Bob stick method”, invented by Bob Barrows, who designed the Bearhawk aircraft. Here a video about the method.
From a paint brush I created a Bob stick with a slot that has the correct depth as the existing flange of the lightening hole. It wasn’t to difficult:
