The support angles of wing ribs 4, 6, 8 and 9 need a little bend to align with the rear spar flange.
Fortunately I didn’t rivet these angles to the rib yet so it was easier to do the bend.
The instructions in the manual are clear what to do, but not how to do it:
So I had to find a solution and followed the advice of another Sling builder.
I created an aluminum mold in a vise and used a cross peen hammer to create the bend, I protected the angle with some additional aluminum to prevent impact damage.
This is the fit of the angle clecoed to wing rib 6 in the skeleton:
The other angles look the same.
I will need to spray some primer before they are riveted to the rib.
